What is the Korean Parental Leave Benefit Calculator?

A calculator that estimates parental leave benefits reflecting the 2025 revisions to Korea's parental leave system. It incorporates the 6+6 Parental Leave Premium scheme, updated benefit caps for ordinary parental leave, and the abolition of the deferred payment system. You can check estimated monthly payments based on each parent's leave period and use it to plan your entire leave schedule alongside maternity leave.

6+6 Parental Leave Premium Benefit Under Korean Law

From 2025, if both parents take parental leave for a child under 18 months old, each receives 100% of their ordinary wage for the first 6 months under Korean law.

Monthly caps increase progressively from 2 million to 4.5 million KRW depending on the month.

Months 4–6Up to 2,000,000 KRW/month
