What is an HTML Cleaner?
An online tool that automatically removes unnecessary HTML code hidden in text copied from Word, Google Docs, Naver Editor, Excel, and other applications. When you copy content, invisible junk code like mso styles, empty tags, and proprietary class attributes are saved alongside the visible text, causing formatting issues when pasted elsewhere. This HTML cleaner performs both raw HTML inspection and cleanup with a single Ctrl+V paste. Use the Raw HTML tab to examine the clipboard code as-is, and the Clean HTML tab to instantly copy sanitized semantic HTML with all junk removed. Your last five entries are saved in the browser automatically, and all processing happens locally with no data sent to any server.
How to Use
- Copy the content you want to inspect from the source application, then paste it into the paste area with Ctrl+V.
- Check the results across three tabs. The Raw HTML tab shows the clipboard HTML as-is, the Clean HTML tab shows the result with unnecessary code removed, and the Plain Text tab shows unformatted text.
- Click the copy button on the tab you need to copy the result to your clipboard. Previously pasted content can be reviewed in the clipboard history.
Clipboard HTML Characteristics by Source
Each application stores differently structured HTML on the clipboard. Word adds proprietary styles and markup, while Google Docs generates heavily nested inline formatting. This browser-based tool analyzes these differences and removes the unnecessary code. The table below summarizes clipboard HTML characteristics for major applications and what this tool cleans.
